why can't we be friends?

Why can't all houses recognize that especially in the current state of the public's view of Greek life, we need to present a united front to prove that we're not what the media tries to portray us as?
I know the tier system will never go away, but why do we have to hate on each other so much? Every house is different and attracts different people, not better or worse, just different. I think it's more important for us to discuss how to solve the recent issues facing Greek life as a whole than spend all of our time determining which house is above another in an arbitrary system.
