why is kappa so hated?

I don't really care for accusations like "omg ur a kappa this is why everyone hates u" I would just like some answers! I'm not greek but my little sister is a freshman in kappa. Maybe because I haven't had much experience in greek life is why I don't know?
The freshman pledge class in kappa seems really nice and involved. They did a really good job at humo and became close with the agr, lodge, and Dtd guys, and while the girls I've met my own year haven't been the friendliest, the freshmen seem nice, diverse and inclusive. Why does kappa have such a strong reputation of the opposite? Do they still act like this or is it mainly just that an old reputation has stuck? What did kappa do that was so bad in the past?
Just want to make sure my baby sister is in the right place.

As much as it pains me to admit this, it's jealousy if you ask me. Girls hate on Kappa because they are hot and fun, thus popular with all the frats. Also, they do very well during rush. I don't know one girl who preffed Kappa over another house. There is definitely a certain amount of prestige (and a lot of animosity) that comes with being a Kappa.

As much as I dislike Kappa for many personal reasons, I can't totally disagree with what Truth has to say. You can't tell me that top frats like Ksig, DU and Sigma Chi would rather party with a lower tier sorority than Kappa. And sadly, there are girls who go through rush wanting to be in the "hot" house. That's just a fact of life.

While all those things are true, 95% of the animosity toward KKG has nothing to do with jealousy and everything to do with their behavior and attitude---which was the premise of "truth"'s post. Do you really believe that all the girls that visited kappa for pref put them first on their card? As a girl who was actively involved with Panhellenic rush, I can tell you that it's not true. If you don't want to believe me, just think about it logically---that would mean that there are entire pledge classes at other sororities who are in their #2 and #3 choices. Totally laughable---I'd estimate that about 75% of pnms get their #1 choice.
