MADISON, Wis.-- Sigma Chi on the UW-Madison campus is suspended for the remainder of the school year for violating the University's Registered Student Organization Code of Conduct, according to Eric Knueve, director of the Center for Leadership and Involvement.
The fraternity had been on suspension through November 2014. After that, the fraternity was on an alcohol restriction, which only permitted the group to have alcohol events at third-party vendors.
The fraternity violated this restriction by having alcohol at the house during a party.The decision letter about this latest suspension went out Monday.

it's sorta news. I'm not gonna say its gonna kill their chapter or make them not top tier, but it def hurts their social events, since they all have to be at senior houses now. also, they've been on some sort of probation for years at this point. they don't throw down at all as hard as they used to
