feeder high schools

by: uw

I've definitely noticed that some chapters feed from certain high schools, if you know of any other school/chapter combination that's really common or a school that just has a TON of girls rush, put it down here!

Tridelt - DSHA
DG - Edina, Chanhassen, Brookfield Central
Alpha Xi - Waunakee
Alpha Phi - Arrowhead

No order for this shiiiiit

DSHA/Milwaukee Private Schools: DG (or Gphi)
Edina/EP/Orono/Minnetonka: GPhi (or if they don't make it--APhi)
Both coasts(public or private)/Chicago Private Schools (Benet): Kappa
Middleton: Gphi/AXO

Regardless, generalizing on feeders is stupid. It's just a matter of whether or not you are close with girls who were older than you and are in houses now.

Just cuz a sorority has 15 girls from the same high school doesn't make it a feeder. I know girls in several sororities from the schools you mentioned. It's a stupid thing to point out anyways, as no one cares where you went to high school. It's about how you represent the organization you ultimately join. Let that speak for you, not your past.

my roommate is from a fairly big school outside milwaukee... there were seven girls from that school who rushed this year. all of them were cut. your high school does matter - people think that just because you went to HS ABC you may not be able to afford dues because the school itself has a lot of lower income kids. a lot of it is based on the "can you afford it" thing, and high school/zip code has a LOT to do with it.

Not true. There are girls from tiny little backwoods towns that get bids to top tier houses. Not to get into membership selection, but perceived ability to pay dues is never considered. And honestly, beyond girls in the house that know other girls from home that are rushing, no one gives a crap what high school you went to. So yeah, one sorority might have a lot of girls from a certain high school, but it has nothing to do with how elite or moneyed that high school is and everything to do with the existing relationships between certain groups of girls.

Not sure if you're in a sorority or not, but by your post it sounds like you're a freshman. You should probably reserve comment about membership criteria until you actually go through recruitment from the other side.

I agree with "seriously". It has nothing to do with what town or high school you are from beyond someone from your high school, that knows and likes you, already being in the sorority. And that may not even be enough to get you in to that particular sorority. It's not at all like some of the schools in the south.
