rushing as a junior
by: WiscorushI am transferring to UW spring semester this year as a sophomore and really want to rush but I am wondering if any upperclassmen get bids. Do any sororities do spring rush or would it be better for me to wait until fall and try to rush even though l'll already be a junior?

Pretty sure I know who you're talking about, and she was a transfer from another gphi chapter. They didn't take her through rush.

Chill! Was just trying to answer the original poster's question. I just reread the comments and I don't think any of them said Gphi was courageous. Not sure where you are getting that and why you are so hostile???

I just think it's pretty ridiculous how everyone seems to be singing GPhi's praises for taking one junior girl. I like most of the girls in GPhi, but if we're being honest I think they do very little for this campus in terms of philanthropy, involvement (etc.), especially for being "the best house on campus." It's borderline ridiculous.

How was it implied exactly? Sensitive and paranoid much? No one is singing Gphi's praises nor has anyone said they are THE top/best house except for you! (Greekrank doesn't count because most reasonable people know the info on this site is half BS.) Were you cut by them or something because you sound super jealous and bitter.

GPhi gets soooo upset if people don't just love them. Take it easy, not everyone wants or wanted to be a GPhi. You really didn't get to "cut" everyone.

People are just trying to answer the question that's been posed here as factually as possible. No need to bash Gphi when NOTHING has been suggested or implied here. (The fact that you keep insisting there is is really weird.) Plus, I don't even think of them as top house but part of the top tier, where all the houses are about the same in looks, involvement, philanthropy etc.

Yes but I believe (going into rush) she was really good friends and/or knew lots of girls in the house. I think it was more of an exception than a rule. Also, FYI, top houses usually don't do spring rush because they already filled their numbers in the fall.
