wondering

Can students at Edgewood rush at Wisconsin? If so, is it looked down upon? Would my options of sororities be limited?

I'm going to guess that its very unlikely you would be able to join a Panhellenic sorority at UW. The Greek system is recognized by UW as an organization and so is subject to University rules, Panhel is regulated by the University/works closely with the advisors, and all UW Greek Advisors also technically work for the University. As an Edgewood student they may not have proper authority over you, since J-board is governed by University approved policies with a UW student life advisor overseeing it. How would a non-UW gpa factor into a house gpa?How would your chapter verify your status as a student/your grades? How would you manage your sororities calendar being based around a different academic calendar than your own? I may be wrong, but it just seems like there would be too many problems with opening the greek system to non-UW students

I know that there are members of some of the fraternities on campus that are MATC students, not UW students. I also did a quick google search on the Edgewood thing, and it appears that Edgewood students are allowed to rush the UW Greek System.
