You have the chance to join a sorority that has no expectations, no reputation, and no direction. That probably sounds like a bad thing, but it's the girls like you that are going to set the standard and decide what AXiD will be on campus. No one will judge you for joining a new organization and defining it in the Greek community. At the start, you won't be having socials with the big established fraternities, but there's so many smaller upcoming fraternities that you'll have the opportunity to become close with (In my opinion this is a plus). That's the most insignificant part though in my opinion, since no fraternity will turn you away at parties for your affiliation. This is a choice of opportunity, not desperation.

Agreed with comment above. Take this opportunity and stop worrying about what other people think. There is so much snarky commentary on this site, reflecting poorly on the UW Greek system as a whole--even though it is a small majority of people interacting on this site. It's sad really. Would be so much stronger of a Greek system if people were "for" each other as opposed to snarky, competitive, dog eat dog environment. Each house is right for someone. Period. Go start a house and make it good! I wish you all the best!
