sophomore rush

by: BidDayDissapointment

How likely is it that a respected middle tier sorority (AXO, APhi, Pi Phi) would offer bids to sophomores? I know that's pretty much out of the question for top houses, but are sophomores relegated to bottom tier?

maybe that's how it is at other schools but definitely not here at wisconsin. if you're attractive, know girls in the house, and have a good reputation you can get into pretty much any house on campus, the same as freshman. this year for example i think gphi took like 7 sophomores? and axo took 6 i think. i don't know about the rest of the houses but you definitely don't get ruled out because of your age.

Even if you went through rush as a freshman too?

Agree with this but it would help (especially as a soph) if you know girls who are in the house already really well.

Yeah, Sophomores definitely can get bids to top houses here, particularly if they're smart, presentable, personable, good rep, and friends with people already in the house.
HOWEVER, Sophomore re-rushers have a way harder time, I think. I always tell Sophomore re-rushers they better be happy with a bid to ANY sorority on this campus. If you're going in for a select few, you'll likely be disappointed.

it is almost impossible for sophomore re-rushers to get into any house in the middle or top tiers

^Not at all. If you know girls in the house on a friendship level it is quite easy, in fact.
