why did do many girls drop out

no---of the 200 or so girls that didn't complete the rush process, 95% of those dropped

I'm guessing they dropped because they had their hearts set on a certain house or houses, and then didn't get asked back. That's the usual scenario. Otherwise, some girls drop because they get overwhelmed.
