I'm going to be a junior, I rushed my freshman year but dropped out because I had a family emergency. I really would like to be in a sorority, but I don't want to do it if it just ends in disappointment. I come from a well-to-do family and dress in designer clothing but is that enough to get a bid from the chapter I want ?

you'll be fine. if formal recruitment doesn't work, pursue alpha xi, they want lots of juniors and seniors!

lol no though. it's not enough to come from a well-to-do family and dress in designer clothes. anyone can do that. it doesn't say anything about your personality. but if thats all you think greek life is here please don't go through recruitment.
