For girls rushing, are jeans/denim shorts a bad idea for the first round?

Do NOT wear denim shorts for your first round. The first day is casual, but please, please no denim shorts.

What do you suggest wearing? Would an asymmetrical skirt and a tank top be appropriate?

Definitely! Just make sure you look nice-casual. You can wear shorts, but if you do try doing some nicer black or white (or any other color really) high waisted shorts with a nice tank, a cute skirt (not too short or tight) with a cute top, a romper, etc. Hope this helps!
