set # of bids

Are sororities REQUIRED to give out a certain number of bids? Is there a set ammount of girls that each house has to take each year

Each sorority is going to try to take quota. Quota is the same for every sorority, and is usually around the number of women attending preference parties AND signing their bid ranking sheet, divided by the total number of sororities. Last year, for example, it was 59. A chapter could theoretically decide they only want to take, like, 20 new girls, but that would make them look bad, and probably get them in trouble with their national organization. Sororities want full pledge classes!
