by: okI just wanna say that I think Pike is gonna be one of the best frats in Madison soon. With all the other houses in trouble, they're in a prime spot to rush some awesome guys. They have the 4th biggest active chapter now and I heard they're thinking of taking over another house from one of the houses that's in trouble. If they do that, they're going to be way up there.

1) size does not equal quality. It's not that hard to get up to 120 guys by bidding everything with a pulse. Houses who hold around 95-110 do it for a reason. For example, I know my house is trying not to get bigger than 105 guys
2) You need a house to get relevant. None of the houses that are in trouble can lose their house. Sig Chi and Ksig's alumni both own theirs which means they will go vacant if the fraternities are unhoused
3) Yes, there are frats in trouble. However, that doesn't mean that those houses will fall or become less popular. Even if they did: SAE, Sig Ep, FIJI and Theta Chi, all of who have real social presences and sorority connections, are all in good standing with the university/IFC and you would have to frog hop them to the top which just wouldn't happen.
Maybe..MAYBE they will push themselves into the lower middle tier with all these probations and such.
