Dropping Before Initiation

by: Advice

I am considering dropping my sorority. I did not realize when I accepted a bid that so many of my pledge class would already know each other and other girls in the house. I do not fit in and have not made friends. If I drop close to initiation will I be black balled when I try to rush as a Sophomore next year. Has anyone dropped at the end of pledge month and gotten a bid through formal or COB the next year? Thank you.

Let me guess, you’re a Gphi. So sad….yes, I think if you drop now, people will know and I don’t think it’ll look too good for you. Especially as you need to go back to all the houses including the one you are dropping out of now

I’m sorry. Stuff on this site can be toxic and exaggerated but there is some truth buried in here. It’s been known that GPhi is a house full of Midwest girls who knew each other in HS. Im sorry you were fooled to think it wasn’t.
If you want to be involved in Greek life then I’d make the best of things. You really can’t have a redo. I’m sure you can find a few friends in your PC.

This is proof that ranks don’t really matter. Top houses aren’t the right fit for everyone. If you’re not a top girl in high school don’t expect it to magically change overnight in college.
