Is the Greek system dying on campus?

I just toured UW again and I'm trying to make a final choice. One of my friends took me on a tour of Langdon. The Greek houses at UW are small and kinda beat in comparison to some other schools I'm considering. UW is a top school so what's up with the Greek system? Is it decreasing in popularity? Do houses/alums not have money to spend?

Houses are smaller here cause we’re on an isthmus so there’s less land overall to really build on its not endless flat land like Illinois or Iowa
