Did not get a bid

by: LifeSuckz

I am a loser (not actually I have just struggled this year) and did not get a bid from any of the top houses 2 semesters in a row. I really wanted to get a bid from a couple of them. Unfortunately, I cannot see myself at any of the houses besides the ones I rushed. I know that the probability of getting a bid sophomore year as a person who has already rushed is extremely low. What should I do? Should I transfer? I really want to as I am miserable right now.

It’s ok man you just probably weren’t the right fit at the places you were looking. Head up, Greek life isn’t everything and barely even matters after sophomore year. So many other places to have fun in Madison.

It was the same for me, last semester, I rushed the "top" houses, and I did not receive a bid, I was absolutely devastated, even from the frat my dad and grandpa were in. But this semester, I looked in the mirror and realized that I'm a social guy, but I am not 210 guy house social. So I rushed a house that's middle sized, off the beaten path a little bit and I found a perfect fit. I would encourage you to do the same next semester. Go where you're wanted, not where you want

from a girl in a “top house” we don’t really like the frat guys anyway tbh. Find a cool fun group of guys and rent a house on mifflin. You will have a million times better experience- trust me
