Social life advice!!!

Do you need to be in a fraternity to have a good social life here? I pledged because I was under that assumption but now may need to drop because of personal issues. I was wondering if it would be a mistake to do so?

frats are overrated. Just put a lot of effort into making friends in your dorm freshmen year. Meet a group of guys, join an intermural team. Then get a group of guys and rent a big house in mifflin. You will have a better bond and more fun than any frat. Trust me

Not at UW, Greek life here is small and generally a coastie clique.

Greek life being necessary for a good social life depends on the college. Greek life is less necessary in schools that are more urban, northern, and have a smaller percentage of Greeks.
