mixed feelings about rushing
by: BellaI’m feeling super conflicted about joining Greek life. Is it worth is to rush and join a sorority or would I be better just saving my money and time? I’d love to have a huge friend group from a sorority and have the social life I can get from it and have events to go to but it’s also a lot of money. I know the reputation of greek life is kind of hit or miss. Is greek life at Wisconsin problematic and drama filled? What do people on campus think about the girls that rush? Will we be able to hang out with frats a lot if we aren’t in greek life?

hey bella! sororities at wisco aren’t that problematic as far as i’ve seen. yes there is sometimes drama in chapters but it’s typical for an organization that’s as big as greek life is. people on campus don’t really care about whether you’re in greek life or not, in fact most people aren’t. you can definitely still hang out at frats as a girl but being in an org or knowing someone in the frat helps out a lot when the parties get too crowded. overall greek life won’t make or break your college experience but it’ll definitely add to it. let me know if you have any other questions :)
