by: get a lifeA fact that doesn't get much attention: rankings don't really matter much here because we have so few sororities here compared to the number of girls who rush! This fall's pledge classes have like SIXTY girls in each one. With that many girls rushing its obvious that each house is LOADED with great girls and the most important thing is just making sure you're in the house you think fits you best. Rankings hardly matter bc wherever you live on Langdon its the same small world, you will see girls from (almost) all the sororities at every party, and likely be friends with them too. Not being in the "top 3" hardly sets you back when you are making friends, getting into parties, or having boys like you....

1) I agree that being "top 3" doesn't designate social standing--how cool you are and likeable you are does. BUT you do have more interactions with desirable guys if you are in a good sorority
2) 60 girl pledge classes arent that big in the grand scheme of greek life, most schools with strong greek like have classes of around 85-120 girls
