The grass is not always greener.

This is a message to the girls rushing this year. Last year all I wanted was on of the “top houses” I preffed two of the top 3 houses and got a bid to my #1 house. Today we are getting ready for rush and I am looking around. We aren’t really friends. We hardly know each other. There are pockets of friends but for the most part everyone is pretty cliquey. The IG pics are fake. The sisterhood is fake. The frats we hang with are douchy.

If I knew what I know now I am not sure what I would have done at rush. I probably would have spent more time thinking about Chi O, Pi Phi and DG.

What sisterhood means is friendship. Honestly 4 years of college without real friends would suck, even in the “best” houses on campus.

Seriously, don’t do what I did. Don’t get caught up in the top house frenzy. If you really connect with girls in a “top” house great! But if the girls you really like are in Chi O, or Theta, or whatever then really think about going there.

Good luck at rush. And if I rush you and tell you how amazing my house is and how amazing our sisterhood is and how amazing our lives are, trust me, I am exaggerating. The grass isn’t greener. We are just another house of girls.
