sorority spring rush
by: questioningDoes anyone know which sororities are participating in spring rush? I'm thinking of going through rush as a second semester freshman. Advice?

My advice would be to wait until fall recruitment. Very few chapters participate in spring recruitment. Unless you know for sure or have a friend in one of those houses already and really want to join, I would wait until Fall. You will be able to see all the houses in the Fall time and too be honest, being a Sophomore in recruitment isn't a big deal and won't prevent you from doing well.

not true at probably 12 sophs in my pledge class and met a ton in rush that got in great houses!

tons of sophomores get bids it just depends on whether or not you're a good fit

I would say as a standard rule, most chapters are far above quota and aren't eligible to have spring rush or COB. Our chapter total, though recently adjusted, is very low and hasn't been keeping up with the growing interest in greek life. Hopefully adding another chapter will help with this, but unless total gets raised next year, spring rush will be extremely limited this year and for the next few years to come.
