Rush first semester or second? Pros and cons

Assuming this is for a guy. Try to rush first semester if you can. It's easier to pledge in the fall and have more free time in the spring as opposed to pledging in the spring and changing the routine that you had your first semester. Not to mention you want to meet as many people as you can as soon as possible, which will be a lot easier in the fall (larger pcs for fraternities and meeting new sorority pledge classes).
