Hi! I am a Kappa at wisco and honestly I think all the top tier/middle tier stuff is all bs. I think rush is a process that works if you are focused on having an open mind and actually trying to connect with all the girls in all the houses rather than focusing on "who is the best" because then you're just going to end up in a house that you forced yourself to fit into. I personally have girl friends in DG, AXO, Gphi, Aphi, Pi Phi, Theta, AXD, and a bunch of geeds! All of the houses have their stereotypes, but at the end of the day they really aren't that different from each other. We are all just girls trying to have a good time with our friends. Rush is such a great experience and I think every house has something amazing to offer.

Yes, woman do pref houses over kappa just like others. I know because I was a g rho last rush. Be open to the process, as it really does work. There are always people who will complain, but the majority are happy with their bid.

Kappa has been ranked IN THE BOTTOM tier for THREE YEARS NOW.

The truth is everyone is smart or they wouldn't have been admitted to UW. ALL sororities have intelligent, career focused, and kind women and they also have mean and shallow members (although imo this is a small percentage). However, this is not any different than anything else in the world. The whole tier/ranking thing is random people giving their opinions not everyone in Greek life is commenting/voting. YOU choose what kind of person you are not the sorority. Greek life has so many wonderful aspects that outweigh the negatives, so take advantage of these opportunities. Now go rush and be kind!
