thinking about transferring here. what's the bar scene like in wisco and what are the frat parties like/how often are they

It is the number one ranked party school in the United States, for good reason. The bar scene is fun, but often gets violent because of poor police protection. The fraternities throw their fair share of parties, but the sororities don't throw any parties. So it can be fun, if you are in a fraternity, or if you are dating a member of a fraternity. If the sororities ever started to throw parties, and pay for them, it would be even better. But so far they refuse to do their fair share.

The bar scene is good, the fraternity parties are excellent, and the sorority parties are nonexistent.
