sophomore rush as legacy
by: ?I've heard that a lot of sororitys at Madison don't take sophomores. I'm transferring to madison next year as a sophomore. I'm from Wisconsin and am a direct legacy for KKG - my mom was a kappa at madison. I'm just curious if this is true or not.

i do think some houses try not to take anyone other than freshman, but it's really based on who you are as a person and if they like you. also, just fyi kappa is one of those houses that aren't known to take sophomores but if youre a legacy the only thing that most houses do for you is invite you back to the second round. so, youll prob at least get invited back. lol

i was a sophomore rush and preffed at my top three houses and got my first choice. definitely go into it with an open mind, but also know chapters prefer freshmen (bc technically they will be members for longer) and the majority of ppl rushing will be freshmen! it's a great experience no matter what and everything works out the way it's supposed to. it also wouldn't hurt to let your friends in the houses you like know that you are going through recruitment, in case they can give you a recommendation
