by: UdubGoing into bid day its important to remember that there are no bad houses here. It's not the end of the world if you don't get your first pick because you'll have girls to support you, party with you, study with you, fundraise with you, and whatever else you want to do in every single chapter. Even if you didn't click with the house during recruitment, you only met a very small fraction of the girls. Anyone can find friends in every single chapter (and most girls here do have friends in other chapters in addition to their own). Even if you get your last pick on bid day i highly recommend you give them a chance, almost all girls who throw their heart into it end up falling in love with them. If you're thinking about dropping, ask yourself why you wanted to be Greek and know that every single house can offer you the sisterhood, parties, philanthropies, events, alum support, etc. Anyone would be lucky to have a bid to any of the houses here because they're all great. Also at least you arent a gdi 😜

THIS IS ALL TRUE. And don't listen to the trolls on here re: pledge classes/rushes ("good" v "bad"). 99.9% of the time it's someone trying to make their own house look good and a house with which they compete look bad. I mean, EVERYONE had a GREAT rush last year. Truly. There wasn't one pledge class that was "bad". If you read "ABC" has the best class and "XYZ" failed miserably at recruitment, please take it with a grain of salt and think about who benefits from a post like that (oh, idk, maybe "ABC" or another house that wants to stir the pot between "ABC" and "XYZ"?). I have heard a ton of rumors this rush about how well one house is doing and the current tiers and drama between current members, etc---but, as someone involved in the recruitment process, I'll tell you that it's almost all not true. In fact, most of these rumors have been started by competing houses and/or PMNs that were released from certain sororities---it's really disappointing. So, don't listen to the negativity coming from a place of jealousy, anger or spite. Good luck tomorrow everyone! Enjoy your bid days!

this is so true!!!!! i didn't get my top pick by any means but I decided to stick through it even though I was really close to dropping. although it took a little for me to start liking it I ended up meeting my best friends in this house and im so happy with the way it turned out

this is so so true!! someone needs to post this every fall because I feel like it's so easy as a pnm to get caught up in what's posted on greek rank or what other people's opinions of houses are. you'll find your people wherever you end up, and every house is so so excited to welcome home their new members.
