do soph transfers make friends with their grade (the pledge class above them/soph class), or do they typically hangout with their pledge class (mostly freshmen girls)?

I'd say that may depend on your own level of outgoing-ness and the size of your sorority. For my sorority I've seen sophomore rush girls stick mainly to their PC as that's who they get close with as new members. I've heard in some smaller sororities it is less like this though.
