by: cautionKappa - I dropped from this years PC because of how mean the girls were. There's really no other way to describe it. I felt like I was back in high school. The majority of girls in this chapter are attractive, but it sucks that their looks give them a spot as a top house. They're rarely at philanthropy events and when they are they look like they'd rather be anywhere else. Girls join for the popularity, not for sisterhood.. PNM's look elsewhere (just because a house is "top" doesn't mean you should want to be in it)!

I have a good friend who is currently seriously considering dropping but keeps hesitating because she's nervous about losing the popularity/becoming a geed. How has your experience with that been?? I want to show her this so she knows she's not the only one thinking it

Okay, I'm a freshman Kappa from this year's pledge class. I was NOT going to respond, but now I have to. I LOVE my sorority and my sisters--period. But I also have friends in nearly every house.
We are NOT mean or threatening to any of our sisters. Of course we have disagreements, but who doesn't? The ONLY girl I have known to drop this year was because of financial reason--that's it.
I am excited to come back this fall as a sophomore and begin to rush new sisters. This site is SICK. Jealous, hateful girls. Get over it--when you criticize ONE group, you hurt the WHOLE GREEK SYSTEM.

Freshmen kappa here, we had two girls drop- one on bid day because she didn't want to pay dues, and one before initiation because she was transferring to a college that did not have a kappa chapter. You're more than free to have your opinion and post about it, but don't make up a fake story. It makes you look like the mean and catty one and invalidates any point you're trying to get across

Sometimes the "posters" hired by greekrank to get you to click-in go too far and involve the good name of Kappa in one of their fake postings. Sorry about that, sweetie. At least it reads to me this original "post" was not from our office overseas, as all the words are spelled correctly and the grammar is relatively sound.

Um, ok Aphi. I think most people on Langdon know who the most desperate social climbers are. Plus, doesn't seem Gphis have any problems getting or keeping girls and their classes don't seem to really compete with Kappa. They definitely have different criteria and care less about the superficial stuff and seem to prioritize personality.
