what exactly is "knowing someone"

Like will having one good friend in a house enough or do I need to know like 10 girls to have an advantage during rush?

If the person you know is popular, social, well liked, and respected in the house then you're good. Having said that though, the more people you know, the better.

What does knowing someone even do tho. Like won't the girls who met you vote and the chance of ur friend rushing u is slim.

The best advantage is to make natural friends on campus, have a great recruitment attitude, and just be your sweet self. Making a poised and polished impression to those you do meet at recruitment will allow your wonderful attitude to naturally be made known to people you haven't yet met in the same houses. Do not make a game of meeting X # of women in each house, that isn't a good method for finding your proper lifetime home. Wise women will always persevere.
