difficulty of getting into top 5 sorority?
by: hmmHow ruthless are the "top" sororities at madison (Gphi, DG, KKG, aphi, axo) when it comes to cutting girls? if you're outgoing and dress cute do you def have a chance of getting into one of them? or do you have to be super hot and know a lot of people within the house?

Recruitment 101: Go in with an open mind! Dont have your heart set on certain chapters before you even meet them. All chapters on campus are great and tier really only matters on this site. Girls from "bot" chapters date guys in "top" frats and have friends in "top" sororities. Rankings literally dont matter in real life and all chapters have something to offer their members each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Trust me im not a wannabe Aphi but i would say the tier thing has shifted since DG kinda dropped down from the kappa/gphi level. There's either those two or the group of 5 --- I am not saying they are all on the "same level" but they all intermingle and have groups within each PC that are friends/hang out w the same guys so in that sense, yes, i would say there are top 5 houses

I don't buy it. If DG has indeed dropped from the Kappa/GPhi level and as you say, not all the houses are even on the same level, then it's a TOP 2, not top 5. Sorry.

Most girls dress really cute for rush so that doesn't determine much. You should either be really hot and outgoing or you could just have a really great personality to get into the top tier houses. It doesn't matter if you know anyone in the house. I've heard Kappa doesn't care if you're a legacy but DG does (idk about Gphi). Don't aim to get into a particular house until you've met the girls. You'll find where you belong.

There is no "top 5". Alpha Phi keeps using the term to make themselves seem better than they are. There are 12 sororities, if nearly half of them are "top" then you might as well say all the houses are top!

don't consider dg a sure thing if you're a legacy. i'm a legacy and wanted to pref them and the house that i ended up in, but i was not invited back to pref. wouldn't have been the best fit now that it's been a year and i can look at it, but just wanted to give a word to the wise

with the numbers of girls rushing increasing you definitely need to stand out to make it into the top 3. With the shear number of girls going through rush the top 3 houses almost always have their pick of the girls they want and its very easy to fall through the cracks in a ten min conversation with someone. You need stand out, dont be boring take control of the conversation and being pretty / put together really makes a difference. It also for helps if the girls know who you are before rush as your name will stand out more.

There isn't a "top 5" list of houses. That's some BS most likely made up by a wannabe Alpha Phi. There's a top tier of houses and they are Kappa, GPhi and DG. They are tops because of their popularity during rush, the quality and hotness of girls in the chapters, their retention and popularity with frats (especially the top ones).
