Rich girls know the difference between your and you're, sorry honey.

Why do you want to have a chance with a house that only cares about superficial qualities that are beyond your control instead of joining a house that actually likes you as a person? There are plenty of other popular sororities that won't freeze you out/look down on you for having a Tory Burch bag instead of a Chanel. Side Rant: I just don't get girls wanting to be in Kappa SO badly. In my experience, they are fake, snarky and entitled. There's maybe only one or 2 girls that I can stand being around for longer than an evening at a party/bar. I mean, the conversations usually range from one-upping each other in terms of wealth/privileges/travel/etc to making fun of the rest of the girls at the party/bar.

I agree with above and honestly if you're open minded like you say you shouldn't care if they can tell if you're rich or not. Especially because Kappa doesn't offer anything that other popular sororities can't offer except perhaps a lack of true friendship

First off, I agree with the above comments wholeheartedly!!! Secondly, you seem a bit too concerned with Kappa and if you are rich enough to be in that house. Your attitude and question makes you appear anything but open minded.

No, to my knowledge houses do not have access to your personal financial information. However, rushers know how to get that information out of you in indirect ways. They will ask you questions like, where are you from, where did you go to high school, where have you been to camp/on vacation--where did you stay while on vacation, does your family have a summer home, who are your favorite designers, where do you like to shop, what's your favorite restaurant, what are some cool and unique experiences you've had, why did you choose Wisconsin etc.

Girls in Kappa TEND to be VERY wealthy, sophisticated and worldly (probably beyond most nice, Midwestern, middle class girls' imaginations). They know where the true enclaves of wealth are in this country and other cues that represent or sets apart those in the upper classes of family income.

Has some of the cheapest dues at wisco (you get this information in your rush booklet during recruitment) and a bunch of girls, like every other sorority, are on scholarship/ loans. Sucks for them that they have that reputation but honestly think it's just something that's carried through the years. But still idk why u would want to be in kappa if that's what u hear about them
