It's not too bad. A high percentage (I think in the 90+%) get in. Obviously, you may not get your top choices, but there are a lot of decent houses, if you keep an open mind during rush and don't get caught up in the hype of being in a certain house.

Certainly not as tough as some schools in the South or the Midwest. However, after 3 years here, I would say the competition has increased in terms of the quantity as well as quality of women and the houses' expectations. If you know women in the houses and/or can get recs, I would do so, every bit helps--work your network! Also, go through rush with an open and inquisitive mind, ask questions, be interested and observant, look around at the parties, can you imagine the women around you becoming your sisters?

if you keep an open mind and give every house a chance the odds of you getting one are very high
