Thousands of UW Madison students belong to the Greek system, which is the sum total of all fraternities and sororities on campus. They represent the center of social life on the campus. They are always on the move, they are always having fun, they're always having parties, they are raising money for charity, they are having dances and dinners, and in general, they go to a lot of sporting events, and play a lot of sports and music. It is open to all students on campus. Join if you want to.

15 percent of students are in a sorority or fraternity, a few houses like TKE are 100 years on the UW campus. RUSH to join, and make college fun.

UW Madison students may wish to join the Greek system, if they want to have an exciting social life on campus. It is not for the students who want to sit in their dorms on Saturday night and eat pizza , rather it is for the students that want to go to dances and parties and meet lots of people, and have lots of fun. Join if you are very social.

Greek life at UW Madison is the center of campus life. Fraternity and sorority members have higher grade point averages, throw the largest parties on campus, participate in intramural athletics more often, and enjoy dances, charity fundraising, and living in beautiful mansions on Lake Mendota. Join the fun if you want to, it is open to everyone on campus.

At UW Madison belonging to fraternities and sororities is very exciting. They raise money for charities, they have brotherhoods and sisterhoods, they travel together on spring breaks and winter breaks, and they hold formal dances and informal dances, and they have parties. Also they offer housing, which is often cheaper than the dorms. For people that like to be social and have fun, it is an essential part of university life at UW Madison. It's the social life for people that want to be social.

UW Madison is a great place to go to school and have fun, whether you're Greek or not. EVERYONE works hard and plays hard here. The chapters are often old (100+ years on campus), and have lovely historic homes, some more well-cared for than others. Greeks are not a huge percentage of the undergrad population, but I do feel like they're involved throughout campus. Like most state flagship campuses, being a part of Greek life at UW is a great way to make a large campus seem smaller.
