theta? i have questions
by: Twin starsHey! I'm a theta from another school. While it saddens me to see my sorority kicked off another campus, I'm sure nationals had good reasoning. I've just heard so many rumors about this chapter and the revoking of their charter, can someone explain what actually happened?

To be honest, there's so many rumors that you're probably not going to get a good answer especially here. A short answer is that this house wasn't supposed to be at any social event for the rest of this year but was caught at a frat. I'm sorry about your sorority losing a chapter.

I would say so, since that was an historical chapter with a lot of history at Michigan and they own their house.

The only issue I can see is that Michigan just added GPhi. Next year, we're adding AOPi. Two years later, we've committed to adding KD. After colonizing three new sororities, it might be a while until the campus is open for extension again.

That is only part of the problem. Theta had other risk management issues that they violated and they were not living up to their National standard and University policies. They had many chances correct themselves, but they made very bad decisions and what sealed their faith was the social event they attended, which was another violation that caused their charter to be revoked.
