greek life at michigan
by: Not you ego
It's kind of disappointing that our system is designed in such a way which excludes certain sororities/fraternities from other "tiers". Isn't the whole point of Greek Life to establish a community which is smaller than the student body population? Instead of trying to constantly compete with one another and degrade organizations that are extremely similar, it should be in our interest to work together and create a vibe on campus where we can truly be the leaders and the best.
Just take that into perspective.
#1by: Completely on point
Now is the time to make this change. It will only be a positive move. It will dispel myths and inaccurate myths and stereotypes that are cemented in not only on this site but in the Greek community. It will allow new members to change the patterns and make it so much better for themselves.
For the sake of greek life at UM... This really has to be a thing.
#4by: Geezer Social Chair
Hate to break it to you all, but sorority social chairs are the worst kind of people. Super boring, never down to do anything remotely creative, and won't give anyone perceived underneath them the time of day. It's just not going to happen until sororities demand that they not have a mixer every single week with the same frat that conveniently has the guy a social chair is hooking up with. I'm not even joking. Most sorority girls realize this too, they just need to be way more vocal about it, but unfortunately at Michigan they can't talk about partying in chapter or even in their Facebook group, so nothing changes.
