how does extension work?

Gamma Phi- what was it like? If it happens after recruitment, does that mean the new sorority will have girls who didnt get bids? Are they looking for upperclassmen?

I asked my Rho and she said Gamma Ohi was not doing COB this year so they are most likely not doing extension.

Extension means a new chapter being added. I'm talking about the new sorority coming to campus next year. Gamma Phi did extension last year and I want to know what it was like

I had a friend that rushed Gamma Phi Beta last year and they recruited for all four years. Most were girls who never went through formal recruitment and wanted to join, others didn't have a great time during formal. A big mix of girls. They cut half the girls who rushed though.

The process happens after formal recruitment finishes. Then just like with formal recruitment you go through mixers, philanthropy, prefs and bid day. With each round girls do get dropped from houses. I believe GPhi started with around 420 and ended up with 215. They do look for girls from all grades (especially upper class men for exec positions). If it is something you are considering I say go for it!
