be done with it.

As someone who also did not get a bid this year (sophomore), I will admit it is extremely hard. You feel left out. You see Bid Day photos and today everyone was wearing their Bid Day shirts. My best advice is to just be happy for the girls who got a house. Hating Greek Life will just make you feel worse. I suggest to just be done with Greek life and find other interests. Being down about the rush process is natural, but look at it as another opportunity to join a club or organization that's non-exclusive and a better fit!!! Congrats to all who got a bid. Don't take it for granted!!!

You sound like an amazing person. It's people like you who make this university awesome. Being, or not being, in Greek like doesn't make or ruin your life. If someone is so distraught about not getting a bid that they want to transfer schools (as posted in some other questions on here), you need to chickity check yo self before you wreck yo self.

I agree. I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy.

Let's not forget, there will be new sororities on campus in 2016 & 2018.

well said! Greek life isn't everything, but if you do want to be a part of it, like you originally planned, definitely consider COB to a house that offers it. While it may not be your dream house, it will still give you involvement in Greek life and a chance for sisterhood. You may even end up liking it more than the house you rushed
