events before rush

I've heard a lot of talk about "rush events" happening around now (so i.e. before actual rush starts). I haven't gotten invited to many because I haven't contacted rush chairs of many fraternities. Are these important to go to? Or is it fine just to go to the mass meeting and formal rush?

Yes it's better to know people in the frats and be invited to early events but if you make a good impression at formal rush you'll be fine. I got a bid after formal rush

Yes go to the rush events and make sure to bring a good guy girl ratio, otherwise you will not get in
