gamma phi beta

What year did gamma phi get kicked off campus? And what was their reputation before they were kicked off? No opinion one way or another just generally curious

Gamma Phi was not kicked off. Their national organization chose to close the chapter during the early 2000s due to low numbers.

it was 2005. they were having trouble recruiting and while there were some pretty girls most of them were a step down even from agd. my friend's gf was a boarder there for awhile and liked the house itself but felt sorry for the girls. they were all really nice though.

They chose to shut down sometime in the 2000s so they could start totally over with new girls and a remodeled house. AFAIK, they weren't kicked off. It's their Beta (2nd) chapter so it's been around for over 100 years and sometimes interest just dies out and you have to wipe the slate clean

They had trouble with numbers even in the 1990s, but since they are Beta chapter, their nationals really hoped they would turn around. Always nice,involved girls who were proud to be Gamma Phis. It's great that this chapter is back on campus. GPB did it the right way, unlike AEPhi who came back too soon.

yeah they were definitely not kicked off for any bad behavior. Other than looks no one ever had anything bad to say about them.

it was 10 years ago. The kids in all of Greek houses including this one have moved well into adulthood. Old reps change. There back. That's all that matters.

GPhiB has a super strong national, which is why they stepped in and shut the house. They still own the house and have plans for a total renovation. New houses tend to get a lot more attention from national, so all the great things about being in a sorority shine through. All of you girls: rush with an open mind! Umich greek life will really enhance your time here.
