veterans in frats

by: Curious

How many fraternities here have veterans? Coming in the Fall after four years active duty and a couple deployments with the Marines.

I personally don't know of any veterans in fraternities, but I'm sure that any fraternity here would welcome you with open arms. Thank you so much for everything you've done for America!

Are you okay hanging out with immature 17 year olds? As a pledge, you'll spend a lot of time with your pledge class, which will be at least 50% brand new freshmen who just moved out of their parents' houses.

Is 'How bad could they be?' a dangerous question to ask?

Bad. Even if when they're well intentioned, freshmen lack perspective. Their conversations can be mind numbing. Their priorities will be different than yours. Unless you're a really easy going person, it could be rough.

Part of hazing process may involve getting yelled at and commanded by 19-21 year old privileged kids. As a veteran i don't think you'd want to be subjected to hazing.
