is rushing and rotc possible at the same time?

by:

I've been interested in joining greek life at whatever school I went to since early on in high school, but I went the route of joining ROTC as well. How much of a time commitment is rushing for fraternities, and how lenient are they if I had to miss an activity for an ROTC event? I don't care if I'm top or mid tier, but I wouldn't really be interested in going bottom. Also, would I have time for other extracurriculars, like a club sport?

You probably won't be able to balance Greek Life or a club sport, but it probably depends a bit on the fraternity or team in question. ROTC usually doesn't leave time for many other activities. Make sure that you're doing it for the right reasons, since it will totally shape your college experience. If you don't love ROTC, you'll have a hard time loving college.

I pledged and I'm in ROTC. Never had any problems. Maybe a little less sleep but it's definitely possible. Guys were always understanding. If you're doing ROTC, it means you probably want to have an actual college experience before commissioning. Go to every house and feel out how they'll be with ROTC to get a better idea about it.
