should i rush?

by:

Hey I was just wondering how hard it is to be part of Greek life at u of m and maintain a good grades. I'll be a freshman next year and really want to rush, but I'm pre-med so I really need to keep up my gpa. Also how limited is the social life of people not part of the greek system? Thoughts?

Hey! So rushing was an amazing experience, and I encourage to do it in the Fall. But, u should always keep in mind of your grades first. Ur first priority should always be school first, and social life after. I mean, it sucks, but you came here to Michigan for a reason. I do a thing where I only go out if all of my work is done and finished, before going out. That way I have a piece of mind, can have fun more freely, and dont have to struggle to make up for the hw you left behind. Time management is key for rushing and still maintaining a good GPA. And it is definitely worth it, and can be achieved too...

There are plenty of pre-meds in greek life - in both fraternities and sororities. There are also plenty of successful medical school students that were once in Greek Life at U of M. It's definitely doable, just be on top of time management

Most of everyone in Greek Life at U of M cares about school more than anything else...
