sophomore
by: asdfgI'm rushing sororities as a sophomore, and I'm scared that might keep me from finding a house I love and that girls might assume I'm rushing bc I didn't get a bid last year or something. What are your experiences/etc? Also, what GPA would most sororities want sophomores to have?

I rushed as a sophomore last year and I got a bid from a house that I wasn't too crazy about, but I went to bid day anyway and tried out pledging. I grew to really love it, since the impression I got from a few girls during rush didn't actually reflect the entire chapter. It'll all work out!

To be honest, rushing as a sophomore is a lot more difficult than rushing as a freshman. For one, sororities need to make money and they make more money rushing a girl who will be there for 4 years than 3. Also each sorority usually has a quota as to how many sophomores they can take. But if you are rushing for the first time, there's a better chance that you will get the house that you want. Just be honest.
