rushing as a sophomore
by: asdfI've heard rushing sororities as a sophomore is a lot more competitive, especially if you don't know many girls in sororities well. Should sophomores get recs? What else helps?

You're an idiot! Not even true! Rush with an open mind, be yourself - there's a spot for you. Don't worry about tiers. Every house has a great mix of girls! You are bound to find a group within that will be lasting friendships. Please say crap on here that's not real representation of the majority of greek life here. Always gonna be a few people still trying to be cool based on the house. Do it for you - not to validate yourself by the letters.

so do sororities count class standing by credits or age? im another possible transfer and might come in as a freshman because of credits..
and jw, is it better to have a gpa of 3.1, 3.2 and be a freshman in credits or to have a slightly better gpa and be a sophomore? thanks!

A LOT of sophomores rush, and every house took sophomores this year. Just be ready to give a reason why you didn't rush last year (if you didn't transfer) and knowing people can help but it's not something to count on since the people that rush you could be completely random

You shouldn't have a problem getting into at least Gamma Phi since they're new. If you want a good sorority, it's really competitive but not impossible.
