gamma phi beta bid all 216 girls who came to prefs
by: GPhiBThe new sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, extended bids to all of the girls that came to preference tonight. Is this a good thing? Did they choose to make cuts earlier, or did they have to take everyone in order to meet their goal of 200 members?

...the way it works during recruitment. By the time preference rolls around, everyone in attendance has been voted into membership. It's just that during formal recruitment, there is still a decision to be made by the PNM. In the case of new chapter recruitment, the PNMs have obviously already made their decision, so there isn't much point in the sorority waiting to extend the bids. The PNMs can still decide not to accept the bid after it's extended, but it's not as likely.
