in state vs. out of state?

When going through sorority rush, are you judged harder if you're out of state? I know this is the way in the south, but i'm not sure if michigan is the same or not.

Michigan is clearly a very southern school. There is a lot of racism, and everyone is white

lol all the kids who are from michigan in the greek system are total fuc king rednecks and hicks. kids from michigan blow hard dic k and nobody likes them. its all about out of state and the kids from cali. also ppl from ny or jersey r usually very greasy and stinky douche bags

Out of State is easier to get accepted, a lot of kids party harder because they could rely on money to get them accepted so generally these people party more and make up a lot of greek life.

all in-state kids r fuc king broke and their parents are too. they go to umich bcuz they could not afford anything other school so they get in state tuition at umich,. all instate kids r redneck as fuc k and hillbillies

umm i'm from california and we have ucla and cal which are both ranked above umich. i went out of state because i could afford to, unlike you.

Both of my siblings go to some of the most expensive schools in the country. I chose Michigan because I liked it the most. Also, a lot of people in the midwest tend to stay in the midwest for college, and Umich happens to be one of the best.
