by: JesusCDon’t make it your whole personality in your new sorority that you “almost” went Phi. Newsflash, you didn’t. They didn’t want you. Get over it and move on with your life. The Phi girls don’t want to hear abt it and nobody else does either. Most people get dropped by Phi. There’s a reason frat boys don’t go around and say “I would have been in PhiDelt if it wasn’t for blah blah blah”.

IDK who would write this or why, but it's just wrong. There are no drops after pref, only rankings. Every pnm who attends a pref is on that bid list somewhere so they are wanted as potential sisters. Bid matching determines where pnm's finally land.
If you are high enough on your first choice's ranked bid list to match with them before they reach quota then you get a bid from them. If you end up at your second choice house then you simply didn't make the quota cutoff at your first choice but you were wanted there or you wouldn't have been at their pref.
If you have two pref houses but only put one on your card and don't match with them before they hit quota, then you don't get a bid at all.
Everyone just calm down and get on with your own life at this point.

But nobody knows the final rankings, including you, it's all done by computer algorithm. A girl could have been #61 and just missed the cut off just as easily as #130 and Phi really wanted her. But that doesn't matter anyway because not all those 130 girls ranked Phi as their first choice, so a lot of them dropped you! LOL

you're right but also if you were ranked lets say #130 and they can only take 60 girls....i would pretty much say you got dropped
