I'm a little confused

It had only been a few days since I arrived on campus, and I already felt like I was missing out on something big. “The Barn” kept coming up in conversations, but no one seemed willing to explain it to me. Was it a secret club? A legendary frat house? No one gave me a straight answer. I finally decided to just ask. “I keep hearing about this place called ‘The Barn,’ but I’m not really sure what it is. Can you fill me in?” I asked a sophomore in the elevator, hoping for some kind of clue.
