SAE used to haze, but since that announce by their National Office on Friday, SAE will be a Non-Pledging Fraternity. It sucks to be them.

The Greek System as it exists now is dying. SAE is a prime example of how nationals will do whatever it takes to make themselves legally not liable for a bunch of college kids with gaps in good judgement.

And they are not the first fraternity to do this. LXA, ZBT, & Sig Ep all have eliminated pledging from their membership process. There will be more fraternities following the same pattern. I have a feeling this will be the new process for all fraternities in the future. Will this kill the system? It may but some IHQ believe that it will not because in early years of the fraternity system, the national founders did not have a pledge process and they were able to survive and grow.
