Why does TDX like horseplay so much?

I went to TDX last night and all the brothers there were prancing like horses and saying "neigh we are TDX, neigh, neigh, we are wild stallions of the west." Is this usually what happens at TDX? I still had a good time last night though, but the fact the brothers kept asking what breed of horse I'd like to be was a little weird.
